2021-10-12 FCDCC Meeting Notes

About 16 FCDCC members met online using ZOOM software. Please login between 6:00pm and 6:30pm. The social part of the meeting starts at 6:00pm, and the business part of the meeting starts at 6:30pm. Paul will email meeting invitations for the monthly club meetings and the monthly coffee meetings to all club members. If you haven't received your invitation by the day of the meeting, please send an email to info@fcdcc.com, and either Paul or I (Mike Barry) will send you the meeting ID and password.

Pay your dues for 2021 to Dave Chamness (3854 Braidwood Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80524) if you haven't already paid. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. You can now pay your dues ONLINE with PayPal!!!

We currently have $3972.66 in the club account. Dues are down, but our expenses are down even more.

We will be holding elections for a new President Elect in November.
We also need a new Landscape SIG leader, and Walt would like someone to take over or share the Photo Editor position.

We will probably continue to hold our club meetings on ZOOM through at least the end of 2021 due to the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic. We are still investigating a venue for next year.

Some of the SIG meetings and outings are being held on ZOOM, but many of them are on hold until the COVID-19 Pandemic is over, and a few outings have been held in person and outside.

Send your photograph submittals (corrected fix-it-photos, club outings, challenge topics, old and new, or your favorite images) (up to 8 images) to Walter Lyons at walyons@frii.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We are working on adding videos to the slideshow, but we haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Please add captions to the pictures that you submit for the monthly slideshow, and clearly note which picture they pertain to, by stating the filename if possible.

November meeting challenge topics:
1. "J" is for...
2. Winter is coming
3. Your favorite picture (x3)

The November Fix-It-Photo is "Fox" by Walt Lyons.

Please send images (Fix-It-Photos) that you would like everyone to try "Fixing" to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.

If you don't already have a headshot on the website, please send one to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.

We held a group discussion of "How the pandemic has affected us" and "What we would like the FCDCC club to be", instead of the usual presentation.

The November presentation will be "Travel Photography" by George Theodore.

Our members contributed images to the October slideshow, and you can find it on the club website on the October 2021 page.

Please check out our club Facebook page by searching on Facebook for "Fort Collins Digital Camera Club". You are welcome to post fix-it or challenge topic or anything that you want on our Facebook page. I would like to see more pictures from our SIG outings on Facebook.

Email Mike, info@fcdcc.com, when you find mistakes, missing information or if you have suggestions for the website and I will try to address the issues.
