2021-03-09 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met online using ZOOM software. Please login before 6:30pm when the official meeting starts. The social part of the meeting runs from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. Paul will email meeting invitations for the monthly club meetings and the monthly coffee meetings to all club members. If you haven't received your invitation by the day of the meeting, please send an email to info@fcdcc.com, and either Paul or I (Mike Barry) will send you the meeting ID and password.

We had about 25 club members and no visitors at the meeting.

Pay your dues for 2021 to Dave Chamness (3854 Braidwood Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80524) at the next meeting if you haven't already paid. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. You can now pay your dues ONLINE with PayPal!!!

Our club now has $3556 in our bank account, and our expenses have been minimal for this year.

Some of the SIG meetings and outings are being held on ZOOM, but many of them are on hold until the COVID-19 Pandemic is over.

Send your photograph submittals (corrected fix-it-photos, club outings, challenge topics, old and new, or your favorite images) (up to 8 images) to Walter Lyons at walyons@frii.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We are working on adding videos to the slideshow, but we haven't figured out how to do that yet.

April meeting challenge topics:
1. "D is for..."
2. "Green"
3. "Negative Space"
4. "Oldies but Goodies" .

The March Fix-It-Photo is "Moon Over Timnath" by Walt Lyons.

Please send images (Fix-It-Photos) that you would like everyone to try "Fixing" to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.

If you don't already have a headshot on the website, please send one to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.

Many thanks to Jeannie Sumrall-Ajero for her presentation "Deep Dive into the Histogram", it was fascinating and very thorough.

Ron Cooper will talk about "Travel Portraiture" at the April meeting.

Our members contributed images to the March slideshow, and I will save the Member Submissions part of our club meeting to a PDF file and you will be able to find it on the club website on the March 2021 page.

Please check out our club Facebook page by searching on Facebook for "Fort Collins Digital Camera Club". You are welcome to post fix-it or challenge topic or anything that you want on our Facebook page. I would like to see more pictures from our SIG outings on Facebook.

Email Mike, info@fcdcc.com, when you find mistakes, missing information or if you have suggestions for the website and I will try to address the issues.
