We spent the afternoon and early evening at the Pawnee Buttes photographing the Sunset and Moonrise. Once again, Ted for calculated the exact time and place of the Full Moon rise.
We visited New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins. Our guide gave us a SPECIAL tour just for the club. She took us places that most visitors never go (IE top of the tank farm and onto the floor while the line was running).
Thank you New Belgium
The Fort Collins Digital Camera Club rented the old "Goodwill" building on Walnut on 2/13/2010 for the shoot. About 12 models and 20 photographers spent the day experimenting with equipment, lighting techniques and poses. The photographer's intent was to shoot a few pictures that can be used for a magazine cover, most of the models were trying to fill out their modeling portfolios, and we all had fun.
Mount Evans and the mountain goats were the subjects for our July field trip. The bighorn sheep didn't seem to be bothered by our presence, but the mountain goats completely ignored us until we got within about 6 ft. We didn't intend to get so close, but often a goat would approach when we were busy taking pictures of another goat. We got some nice photographs of: bighorn sheep, mountain goats, pika, willow ptarmigan, bristlecone pine and many wildflowers.
