Club Outings

Our June club outing is to the Never Summer Rodeo in Walden, CO. Saturday 6/25.
We will meet at the Aztlan Community Center (where we used to hold club meetings) and leave at 8:00am. We should be in Walden by 11:00am. We can meet at the Mad Moose Cafe, 508 Main St. for lunch. If we get to the rodeo grounds by 12:30pm we will have a little time to look over the stock before the main event. We will stay for slack which follows the main event and offers even more photographic opportunities. We will probably be leaving around 5:00 or 6:00pm, and should be back in Fort Collins around 7:30 to 8:00pm.

Macro SIG - Fri 6/24 @8am - Bugs, Flowers and Plants
The Macro SIG photoshoot will be held on Friday, June 24. Let’s meet at the CSU Trial Gardens gazebo at 8:00 am. These gardens are located at the northwest corner of E. Lake street and Remington street. The theme for this photoshoot is bugs, flowers and plants. This will also be the theme for the July and August Macro SIG photoshoots. The trial gardens were planted around the Memorial Day weekend. These gardens are not yet fully developed but there still is a lot to photograph. Close to the trial gardens are the Perennial Garden at the University Center for the Arts where there are many varieties of plants and flowers. The perennial gardens are in full bloom. They are located at the southeast corner of E. Pitkin Street and Remington Street. There are also gardens on the east side of Remington street between E. Lake street and E. Pitkin street. They are in front of the University Center for the Arts and the Avenir Museum. These gardens were planted at the same time as the trial gardens. All members of our camera club are most welcome. I hope to see you on Friday morning.
Smiles,
Paul Marcoux
